About us
We're a married couple from North Texas, and we've built our favorite chapter of life around a simple idea: buy the two tickets, and go.
TW's first cruise was in November 2001 aboard Royal Caribbean's Vision of the Seas. The cruise that mattered most came in 2014 — Carnival Dream out of New Orleans, our honeymoon. We've been sailing, driving, cooking, and photographing our way around ever since.
CC is a Carnival Diamond cruiser; TW is Platinum and closing in. Between us we've learned the things brochures don't tell you: which decks are worth the walk, where the quiet chairs hide, what a drink package really costs per day, and how to pace a port day so you're smiling at dinner instead of worn out by lunch.

We write for active adults who still want the big trip, with eyes open about walking distances, noise, seating, embarkation, medical logistics, insurance, and the true total cost of a sailing.
TW spent years as a credentialed trackside photographer at drag racing events before turning the long lens toward ships and sunsets. Every photo story on our pages is one of ours unless we say otherwise.
Between sailings there's a Kamado Joe on the patio, a slow cooker with opinions, and a table at home that family keeps finding their way back to. Our kitchen stories live here too.
