The Quick 8 Outlaws return to action this Saturday, August 10th at Union County Dragway. This will be the first appearance of the 2013 season for the Quick 8 Outlaws at Union.
Again, just like at our last event Robbie Matthews in the Kauffman Motorsports ‘57 Chevy is riding a wave of momentum. Matthews won the Orangeburg event making it his third win in a row. Ric Flex in his Flex Racing Corvette played the role of the bride’s made. Who is going to stop Matthews? Will it be Ric Fleck or one of the other Outlaws? You’ll have to be at Union Saturday night to find out.
Another heavy hitter heading into Union is the Blade Runner Racing Team with wheel man Alan Pittman. Alan certainly knows how to get the job done. He is multi time world champion including a championship in the popular ADRL series. Making first appearance at Union will be the Living Legend himself, Sonny Tindal. Like Sonny, Russell Miller will also be making his first race day start at Union. These are just a few racers that will be at Union going for the victory. There will be more announced this week.
Also, just a friendly reminder, there are no association, club or entry fees. There are not any weight rules or restrictions on blowers. The only rule is that screw type blowers are prohibited. This is a real “run what you brung and hope it’s enough.”
Saturday the gates open at 12:00 with general admission $20.00. The first round of qualifying for the Quick 8 Outlaws will be at 4:00 and the second round will be at 6:00.
