O’FALLON, MO (November 1, 2011) – Faced with numerous questions and debuting an entirely new crew, Extreme Pro Stock driver Cary Goforth made a resounding statement to open the 2011 American Drag Racing League (ADRL) season with a win at Royal Purple Raceway in March.
Goforth didn’t stop there, either.
The passionate and hard-working Goforth put together one of the finest seasons in XPS history, using that first-race momentum to win his first ADRL World Championship.
There was more for Goforth, too, as the talented Oklahoma native was also named the 2011 ADRL Driver of the Year in a year he won’t soon forget. Continue reading
O’FALLON, MO (October 31, 2011) – During his standout championship career, Dan Millen has been known for strong finishes.
In 2011, Millen may have topped himself with a remarkable finish in the American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL) Extreme 10.5 class.
After recovering from a potentially devastating fire, Millen was unbelievable to finish the season, winning four times in six races, taking the “Battle For The Belts” and winning his second straight Extreme 10.5 championship.
Millen clinched the championship during a dream weekend at the Texas Motorplex, adding yet another accomplishment to what has been one of the most impressive 12-month streaks in ADRL history.
“I can’t say enough about my crew,” Millen said. “It’s just been an excellent year. We had some unfortunate stuff happen throughout the year, but it couldn’t have turned out any better. Continue reading
DALLAS, Tx. October 26, 2011: John Montecalvo doesn’t beat around the bush about the fact that the 2011 season hasn’t been the favorite of his career. Despite the fact that the 2010 World Champ has been in five finals and finished number two in points, Monte is welcoming the off season and a chance to put 2011 behind him.
“I’m honestly glad this season is over,” he elaborated. “With the loss of Bert it’s been very emotional and exhausting. We are happy to be able to take a few months off to refresh and refocus before we tackle another Championship chase.” Continue reading
O’FALLON, MO (October 27, 2011) – In 2010, Ashley Owens put together one of the most dominating years in American Drag Racing League (ADRL) history.
A year later, the spoils were even sweeter for the Pro Extreme Motorcycle standout.
Owens accomplished nearly everything possible during a truly magnificent 2011 season, ending it with not only a “Battle For The Belts” shootout win but his first ADRL world championship.
“We were just happy with how the whole year turned out,” Owens said. “I can’t say enough about Paul and everyone at Fast by Gast. The bike has just been flawless and it’s been a great year for us. I’m just happy with everything.”

DALLAS, Tx. October 25, 2011: Trevor Eman and Team Aruba battled alongside
the best in Extreme Pro Stock all season to stick it out for a top 10 points
finish. The ADRL World Finals provided just what fans might expect out of a
season closer. The top 16 qualifiers were separated by a mere five
hundredths and race day competition offered great pairings and incredible

ENNIS, TEXAS (October 22, 2011) – After a disappointing start to the 2011 American Drag Racing League (ADRL) season, Jason Scruggs sure found a way to end it in tremendous fashion.
On the final drag race of the ADRL season, Scruggs put together a classic performance on Sunday, running a 3.604 at 208.59 miles per hour to knock off Frankie Taylor in the finals of the LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VII presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Texas Motorplex.
“We’re just thankful we’ve got a good car right now,” Scruggs said. “When we were down, everybody was helping us and I can’t say enough about all the people who helped us get back on track.”
The highlight-filled race served as a fitting end to a record-breaking 2011 season as well. Continue reading
ENNIS, TEXAS (October 22, 2011) – Richie Stevens Jr. couldn’t have picked a better time to have his best performance of the 2011 American Drag Racing League (ADRL) season.
The talented Extreme Pro Stock standout got the most out of his CarSafe and Valspar-sponsored Mustang on Saturday, dramatically winning the single-day “Battle For The Belts” shootout out of the No. 8 and final qualifying position.
As part of the featured event during the weekend’s LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VII presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Texas Motorplex, Stevens wrapped up his magical day with a holeshot win against Cary Goforth in the finals, going 4.07 to claim the BFTB.
“This feels awesome. There’s really no other words to describe it,” Stevens said. “To come here as the No. 8 seed and just slip into the field, and then beat a team of that caliber in the finals, it’s just unbelievable. I can’t even begin to say what that’s like.
“When you get that first win along with it, that just make it that much more exciting.” Continue reading
ENNIS, TEXAS (October 21, 2011) – Frankie Taylor started off the biggest weekend in American Drag Racing League (ADRL) in impressive fashion.
The defending Pro Extreme world champion tied his own ADRL world record during Friday’s qualifying session, running an incredible 3.581 at 211.36 miles per hour to set both ends of the track record during the opening night of the three-day LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VII presented by Summit Racing Equipment at Texas Motorplex.
“It felt pretty good. I tried to go 3.57; I wanted to get the record again,” Taylor said. “I thought it went a little faster, but it felt good. I could tell it was hauling the mail.
“I feel pretty confident about (Saturday).”
Three rounds of qualifying will take place on Saturday and the feature event will be the highly-anticipated “Battle For The Belts” shootout, featuring the top eight cars competing for a belt in five different classes (Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Extreme Pro Stock and Pro Junior Dragster).
