PTE-2014-Camaro-Final-Display-WebGALOT MOTORSPORTS’ turbocharger expert Harry Hruska, president of Precision Turbo and Engine, makes his return to NHRA Pro Mod competition this season and will campaign a new car under the GALOT umbrella.

The legendary ’68 Chevrolet Camaro that Hruska had previously campaigned with Brad Personett will now host Don Walsh, Jr. behind the wheel and will proudly carry the GALOT Motorsports logo. Walsh was tapped for driving duties after proving to be a strong competitor and talented driver during his rookie 2012 Pro Mod season while working with Hruska on his Walsh Motorsports turbocharged Mustang. That same year, the team finished 3rd in points.

Boosted by twin Precision Turbo and Engine GEN2 Pro Mod turbochargers and a BigStuff3 Powertrain Management System, a 521 cubic inch engine will power the Hruska/Walsh Camaro. The last time that Hruska was responsible for Crew Chief duties on the car with Personett, the pair not only won the final Pro Mod race of the 2010 season at Las Vegas but also set numerous records.

“I’m very excited to be teaming up with Harry Hruska/Precision Turbo again for the 2014 NHRA Pro Mod season and to now be working with GALOT Motorsports. In early testing we have made some nice runs and are really looking forward to a great season with some tough competition. I would also like to thank Brad Personett for all of his help in getting me comfortable in the car he has successfully campaigned for the past few years. I feel confident that we have assembled a first class team and am looking forward to many accomplishments,” stated Walsh.

Adding the Hruska/Walsh turbocharged Camaro to GALOT’s two other supercharged Pro Mod Mustangs driven by Todd “King Tut” Tutterow and Kevin Rivenbark will give fans even more reasons to cheer for the team. Testing has gone well for all three cars, and all are scheduled to run at the first NHRA Pro Mod race on March 14-16 at Auto-Plus Raceway in Gainesville, FL.

Furthermore, filming will commence at the first NHRA race for a new-style television show covering the “behind the scenes” action in the pits as well as the exciting racing competition of the Pro Mod class; the show is scheduled to air on the Velocity Channel owned by the Discovery Network this fall.

With the 2014 NHRA Pro Mod season shaping up to be the best ever, the GALOT entries, including the Hruska/Walsh turbocharged Camaro, are poised to be some of the top contenders this year.
