The Galot Motorsports second annual Pro Modified reunion race will be this Saturday, August 2nd at Farmington Dragway.
“We’re really looking forward to this event,” said Mark Joyce. “It’s been building for some time now. We want to thank Galot Motorsports and all of our other great sponsors that have stepped up for this event. The main thins is that we want everyone to have fun. We’re going to put on a great show for all the fans, sponsors and racers. We will see everyone Saturday.”
Coming off his big win Saturday at the PDRA event Galot Motorsports team member Kevin Rivenbark will lead the charge into Farmington. Rivenbark’s Galot team mate Todd “King Tut” Tutterow who has amassed countless wins at the Farm will look to score another one. Leading the Nitrous Brigade and is no stranger to the winner circle is Randy Weatherford.
At the last Pro Mod race at Farmington Jeff Blasi picked up the win so he’ll be looking to make it two in a row. Jamie Chappell scored the runner-up position so he’s hungry to get the win this time around. Another racer that will be there and has visited the winner circle at Farmington is Robbie Matthews.
Making his return to Farmington this weekend is the “Godfather of Pro Mod” Charles Carpenter. Carpenter in his world famous ‘55 Chevy will try to add to his long list of victories. Andy “the Gunslinger” Beal will build off his success from the PDRA this weekend. Also, look for long time Nitrous Pro Mod racer’s Greg Godwin and Tori Cagle.
After posting career best numbers the last time at Farmington Jeff Miller in his turbo equipped Camaro will be there. The “Carolina Kid” Travis Harvey will also be there. Chris Cline in the Plymouth Fury dubbed Christine will be there. Andy Jensen will bring his turbo charged Camaro down to do battle. After having success last weekend Jay Cox hopes to continue and pick up the win.
Long time Pro Mod racer Dale Brinsfield will make his return to the drivers seat. Look for the Father and Son duo of Jim and Brian Teachman. The patriotic Chevrolet of Dave Leonardo will also be there. Also, look for the super charged entry of Jr Ward. Bill DeSoto in his newly built ‘41 Willys will be there. Look for Wayne Hawkins, Doug Riesterer, Gary Capano, David Monday and a host of others this weekend.
Along with the Pro Mod race Farmington will host the Celebrity Reunion race as well. So for that list includes;

Columbia SC native Chris Krug with Dodge Minivan will also be on hand. This is no ordinary Minivan. Chris has a serious power adder that he has added to his van. When Chris pulls into the water box the van transforms and a Jet Turbine engine comes out the back. Chris always puts on a great show and will make multiple runs this weekend.
To help celebrate twenty years of Pro Modified Drag Racing at the Farmington Dragway Sammy Phillips Electric has stepped up and is sponsoring the Reunion BBQ Cookout for all Pro Mod racers, crew members and all of the fine sponsors and supporters. There will also be the Momma Helen Hot Dog contest from 1 to 5 p.m..
Plus all TOP, Foot Brake, Junior Dragster and Street participants will be served a HOT BOG lunch from 12 noon to 3 p.m. Courtesy of the Williams Brothers racing, Gary “Hooter” Hoots the Gas Man, Nicholson Racing and MJ Printing and Graphics.
Drag Illustrated has stepped up this year and are sponsoring the longest burn out contest. One driver will be crowned after each round of qualifying. At the end of the event one driver will be crowned over all champion. The driver that is the number one qualifier will win the Hank Thomas Performance low qualifier award. The driver with top speed during qualifying will capture the Sonny Leonard Components and Engines top speed award. Also, WS Construction will have the closest run of the race award.

There will also be a PRO MOD test session from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for $250.00 a car. Then a regular Friday Night Test-N-Tune from 6 to 10 p.m.
